BAKEAGE!

Yes!
I have finally baked something. Man was it overdue. I bought four blocks of cream cheese a while ago, and they were crying out my name. Today, I have put them to some gooood use. :)

Well, you see, I have a very nice spring form pan that my friend got me, so I really want to get this cheesecake thing right. And so when I perused the bookstore for some good cheesecake cookbooks, I found this one: Junior's Cheesecake Cookbook. Although there are several contenders in this New York-Style cheesecake in NYC, Junior's claims to have "the Best Cheesecake in Town" and so I thought why not. The book comes with helpful tips and "secret" steps for a good cheesecake so I like it. Plus it has quite a variety of recipes.

Today I baked for two separate parties so instead of one big cheesecake, I baked two dozen mini cheesecake, or as they call it "Little Fella's". It was super duper easy to bake and so quick to prepare. They have a practically foolproof way of ensuring smooth, clumpless batter and it's easy not to overbeat. Well, for me at least. They came out pretty nicely so I'm thinking this will be one recipe I will keep going to. As they put it, "Just what you'd expect: Junior's original cheesecake in a delicious small package!"

New Camera!

I know I haven't posted anything in a long time, but that's probably because I haven't baked anything in a long time! Well, I did bake oatmeal raisin cookies a couple days ago, but I've posted them before and it's boring. Haha.

I don't know why but I feel oh-so-lazy lately. I really don't like it, but maybe it's good to just relax and do nothing until summer school starts-- which is in few days. So I shall just continue on with my laziness until Monday. :P

Anyways, back to my real point of this entry: I AM GOING TO BUY A NEW CAMERA!
Woohoo!! I'm sooo excited. I am actually going to Europe this summer and what better occasion to buy a high quality DSLR than now (well, actually, this is a very bad time, seeing how my finances are on a low with all that other stuff. But oh well. What must be done must be done.)

Other than beautiful photographs of Europe, I really want to use it for my food photography. Hehe. How exciting!! I'm looking at the Canon EOS Rebel xti with an EFS 17-85mm IS Lens OR possibly the EF 50mm f1.4 USM (which is good for close-ups). This probably means nothing to most of the people out there, but let's just say, it's a pretty good camera for an amateur like me. (Although, I did learn photography for 4 years). Hehe.

My foodblog is going to be heckuva lot nicer after I get my new baby. Woohoo!

a fresh new start

the past couple months have been a bit tough for me.
with all the final deadlines, being sick, and just you know, life stuff. haha.

but i really hope i can put all that behind me and enjoy my summer to the fullest!
im so excited for all that's in store for me and i know it's gonna be good one.

i am going to be joyful always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances!!

My blog is under going some serious changes.

Man, I used to do so much HTML and Script before, but i've become quite rusty.
But I'm starting to get a hang of it again, so the website is a-coming. :)


I'm happy with how it's looking so far. Whaddya think?

i need to bake, though. but i've been quite lazy.

Under Construction

i need to seriously revamp my blog.

as soon as i am done my final project, and catch some sleep, and do a baking marathon, and relax some more, I SHALL put some care into my blog. hehe.
